– Triple Award for VOLABO –

At the CWIEME Global Awards 2019 in Berlin, VOLABO was awarded no less than three awards! “Start-up of the Year”, “E-Motor Design of the Year” and the Grand Prix “Winner of Winners”!

The CWIEME Global Awards present outstanding achievements from the entire electrical and manufacturing industry and the CWIEME Berlin trade fair is the world’s largest event for coil winding, electric motors, transformers and generators.

According to the official call for entries, the new category “E-Motor Design of the Year” honors a design “that may change the way the industry has been developing electric motors for many years and will set a new standard for the rest of the industry”. VOLABO has succeeded in doing this. With its electric drive ISCAD, the Intelligent Stator Cage Drive, the company has developed a revolutionary technology in which simple aluminium rods are used instead of complex copper windings in the stator. This enables, among other things, simplified and more cost-effective production.

The Grand Prix winner was selected from the winners of each category. The award recognizes electrical design and technical capabilities that go beyond the norm. This is a special honor for the startup from Munich.
